I’ve known around 2 dozen, or so, men who felt a call to ministry when they were young. About half have continued down the path of full-time ministry, becoming pastors and planting churches, some becoming more soulless and ghoulish with each passing year. The other half have felt burned and betrayed by the system they devoted themselves to, left ministry and are currently languishing in a bitter, soul-dilapidated state of confusion, anger, bitterness and generally pathetic victimhood.
